M16, the Eagle Nebula

One of the many star-forming nebulae in and around Sagittarius, M16 gained fame when the Hubble Space Telescope imaged the "Pillars of Creation" that lie within it. My more humble image, made with my 92mm telescope, shows them too, and at much less expense than the Hubble and its associated Shuttle missions.
