Kokopelli
Acrylic painting. Kokopelli is a fairly common subject for the
petroglyphs left behind by ancient Native American peoples in the
Southwest. He was supposed to be a mischief maker and fertility symbol
who loped his way from village to village, playing his flute and making
trouble. I have always liked him. Since it wouldn't be legal for me to
possess my own petroglyph, I decided to paint one.
