The Soul Nebula, IC 1848

Part of a vast but faint field of nebulosity in Cassiopeia. You are unlikely to see any part of this through the eyepiece of your telescope, but digital imaging brings such dim objects to light. Nearby is the even bigger Heart Nebula, too big for the field of view of my camera and 600mm focal length telescope.
